A big "thank you" goes out to the members of the Illinois State Police K-9 Unit who stopped by Bernard Long Elementary to provide information to students and staff on how they operate and the efforts they put into keeping us safe. Students were able to meet several officers, tour the police patrol SUV, and have a question and answer session. They were also given an opportunity to see the police dog in action. This was a great way to help students understand the job of the k-9 unit and how they help keep our community safe.
